House Dust Mites, as their name implies, inhabit the mixture of mainly shed skin flakes (their preferred food source) that comprises household dust particles. Mites can be found wherever these accumulate, most typically in mattresses, pillows and upholstered furniture. These areas are usually found to have much higher mite populations than the rest of the house.
House dust mites can trigger a variety of dermatological and respiratory conditions including asthma and eczema.
